About Us

The Architecture, Subjectivity and Culture Research Group develops researches and analyzes about the built human-space relationship. Our goal is to analyze the subjective and cultural factors that participate in the construction of the Place, the memory and the spatial identity of the socio-cultural groups. By knowing the mechanisms of Place Molding and establishing the affections produced by / in the physical spaces, this subject has been shown to be fundamental both for the generation of strategies to promote human well-being in urban environments and for the success of architectural and urban development projects from new methodologies. The repercussion of the knowledge generated has been through scientific dissemination, extension courses, practical action workshops, research projects and lectures.
