The Course
The extension course 'Architecture, Subjectivity and Culture: Developing ambiances through subjectivities' addresses issues related to research on ambiences based on concepts such as: alterity, identity, territory and memory, in addition to others that support the formulation of methodologies to practice and to research in Architecture and Urbanism. The course seeks to build knowledge and proposals that support the work of architects, urban planners, city planners and the like. The mode of action in 2021 will be REMOTE, in which the participants will carry out didactic and training activities, and will be evaluated in seminars and workshops. It will also be an internationalization action, with professors working in France (ENSAG / CY Cergy Paris) and Belgium (Louvain Coopération), in addition to renowned research partners at UFPA, UFRN and Católica de Joinville . Classes will be held once a week for 10 weeks. The evaluation methodology will not be contained in the development of textual products; the set of strategies / seminars and the production of graphic / theoretical material coming from focus groups - composed of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as an audience external to UFRJ will be worked on. The action has a total of 45 hours and will have the support of 2 (two) extension students, with the central objective of democratizing the knowledge produced within the scope of UFRJ and the university research partner institutions, inside and outside Brazil, as well as shares with other sectors outside academic life.
Course target audience
Undergraduate and graduate students at UFRJ, UFRN, UFPA, Católica de Joinville and foreign schools ENSAG, CY Cergy Paris, Louvain Coopération / Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve and UQAM (whose speakers will be part of the course); professionals and apprentices in municipal and state government institutions such as secretaries of urbanism, chiefs of staff, interns from city halls and governments in and around Rio de Janeiro; general community - interested and / or active in the areas of thought and planning, professionals linked to urban management and administrations of sectors of the city, design, geography, sociology, psychology, anthropology and the like.
