The texts that make up the book and that “play” with the words presented in the methodological implications of the scientific work of Architecture and Urbanism (architecture as a principle, subjectivities as medium), reveal relevant paths and actions not only for academic research, but also for actions involving extension, teaching and the making of architecture. The methodologies presented by the various LASC researchers, in partnership with anthropologists, psychologists, sociologists and other social scientists from within and outside Brazil, cast curious eyes on the experiences provided by public and private spaces; the processes of appropriation, the construction of affects and spatial empathy; they follow the changes in the world through experience and watch the social and spatial transformations caused by the era of social media. Structured as a volume of four axes that can be read in any order or time, each of the axes groups consonant themes developed by recent research, making their understanding (Ethnographies, Corporealities, Narratives and Social Representations) also a form of categorization of the methodologies undertaken. The texts offer much more than ways to research in a sensitive manner in architecture and urbanism: they are ways to meet the activities, the procedures and the subject - who the sentient being that makes the cities and the places we inhabit .
